Developed by an independent organization, the Good Cashmere Standard aims to improve the welfare of cashmere goats.
What does it really involve ?
This standard is based on three founding principles: the animal welfare of the Cashmere goats, the support of the farmers for their families and their farms and last but not least the protection of the environment.
Each certified farm is regularly audited by professionals in the field; and the requirements are updated with each scientific advance that could benefit any scale.
Why do we choose it? For both our fall-winter and spring-summer collections, cashmere is a must-have.
Choosing a cashmere that is in line with our ethical values is therefore the cornerstone of Juliette Ozouf. The best cashmere comes from well-fed, year-round grazing animals in Mongolia.
Of course, we know that the transportation of these materials is not without impact, which is why we are careful about ordering from our Good Cashmere Standard suppliers.
